Aims & Objectives of Drishtipath Eye Hospital
The aims and objectives of Drishtipath Eye Hospital Trust are rooted in the principles of public welfare and charitable service. The Trust is committed to undertaking activities that promote the general well-being of society, with a particular focus on providing relief to the poor, enhancing access to quality education, offering essential medical services, and furthering causes that benefit the public at large. These initiatives shall be pursued strictly on a not-for-profit basis, in accordance with the provisions and definitions set out in the Income-tax Act, 1961, and any applicable orders or statutory modifications currently in force. All objectives are intended to serve the public interest without involving any activity that generates commercial profit.


Our Aims & Objectives
1. To provide Community Ophthalmic Services to poor people in the rural areas, our services include: Rural outreach eye camps to identify eye diseases and providing treatment, Cataract surgery, Eye disease check up at old age homes, Leprosy home eye check-up, operation and free treatment, Diabetic Retinopathy screening camp, OP treatment of poor patients in the Hospital, Providing free surgical/ medical treatment for eye diseases, especially Cataract for the downtrodden poor people, School Screening programmes, Conducting seminars and Awareness programmes on eye donation, etc.
2. To provide comprehensive quality ophthalmic services of International Standards to all sections of society at an affordable cost under one roof.
3. To be a center of excellence in Eye care services and bring eye care of International standards within the reach of every individual by augmenting the dimension of eye care and treatment sphere with superior quality techniques and most advanced technology and extend equitable and efficient Eye care to underserved people.
4. To deliver world-class eye care with a service focus by creating an institution committed to the highest standards of medical & service excellence and patient care.
5. To ensure adequate, qualitative, preventive, curative eye health care for people of the State.
6. To ensure eye health care services to all particularly to the disadvantaged groups like scheduled tribes, scheduled castes, backwards classes.
7. To support National Health Programs and network with government agencies and link community with eye welfare progrmmes.
8. To deliver an exceptional patient experience, making the Trust one of the most sought-after places to be treated.
9. To improve the quality of life for our patients by providing excellent, safe and
accessible eye healthcare, which puts patient's well-being at the heart of all we do.
10. To play a lead role in the development of a sustainable eye health system for the communities we serve.
11. To establish and maintain and to assist and encourage or promote in particular and elsewhere in India, as and when deemed proper or expedient for the purpose of eye health care services, in the form of hospitals, institutions or in connection therewith or attached thereto all or any of the following institutions viz. Nursing Homes, Hospitals or Wards, Day Care Centers, related Diagnostic Centers, Dispensaries, Eye-Banks etc.
12. To conduct diagnostic or procedural eye medical camps as an out-reach programme for the community and organize and implement community eye health projects, and various activities of National Programme for Control of Blindness.
13. To launch extensive awareness programmes for eye banking and keratoplasty services including donor motivation, so as to ensure adequate availability of eye for future cornea transplant.
14. To provide ambulance service, patients carrying vehicles from the outreach areas which the beneficiary, even in rural areas, can have easy and timely access to their ophthalmic need.
15. To provide curative, preventive and rehabilitative care to the community along with information, education and communication (IEC) programmes to boost service delivery to potential patients in the community.
16. To discover, develop and deliver excellent eye care, sustainably and at scale.
17. To build on our heritage of expertise in eye care, research and education and adapt for the future so that we continue to be relevant and add value for our patients.
18. To prepare Ophthalmic Assistants/Paramedics/OphthalmoIogists through teaching courses.
19. To encourage and strengthen teaching and training programs along with super specializations to Doctors and Ophthalmic Assistants, through ongoing research and academic activities.
20. To cater all eye diseases from corneal pole to retinal pole of the eyeball and taking care of pediatric to geriatric eye services.
